First Collection of Satchels from Sewgoods

The first collection of 6 new handmade satchels are up now. Thank you, Peter, for letting me post them here in "Things4Earthlings." I love the name!

What's in this collection - first, a pair designed from a vintage fabric with a large floral print and a deep red gabardine that I call "Ruby and Pearl." There are no two exactly alike, but I will make a pair that are similar when I have enough fabric. These two are oversized as well.

Next, there is a pair with fields of gold in stripes with wide swatches of raspberry jam and turquoise stripes. On the reverse is a heavy solid navy blue. Now, again, the two are not exactly the same. Notice that one has more of the raspberry jam showing and the other has more of the turquoise showing.

Then there is a bright gold with black velvet satchel. An appearance of wild and formal combined.

One more with black velvet has that deep ruby red on the reverse side. A deep, dark place to carry your iPad or other treasures.

Provincetown 1973 Poster of Signs

This is a framed poster of signs and amusements by artist Jim Greene
in 1973 in pen and ink, done in Provincetown MA. It is 24" by 36".

It was a limited edition when new and another like it would be an extremely rare find.

This is a piece of art done in 1973 in Provincetown. It is a poster in a frame (frame is heavy extruded aluminum, silver tone). The poster is a classic work by artist, Jim Greene. It contains every sign that existed in Provincetown in 1973. The artist added many amusements, some subtle, some not so subtle. At the lower part of the poster, you see that the perspective is right from 260 Commercial Street; and at the top, a perspective somewhat from the back of 260 Commercial St, from Bradford Street, with the monument.

The poster is in fine condition.

I tried opening the frame to roll to poster, but the poster is permanently bonded to a thick, firm backing. If purchased this summer (2011) I will deliver the poster to you on or near Cape Cod.
